		Michael G. Belz Foundation Supports the Gathering Place! Thank you for all of your support and for joining our team for the Race for the Place on June 5, 2011. The Michael G. Belz Foundation had 77 members and an awareness table at the event.   Here are some photos from the great day!
		2nd  Annual Michael G. Belz Foundation Golf Outing On Saturday, August 20, 2011 the Michael G. Belz Foundation hosted the 2nd Annual MGBF Golf Outing at Emerald Woods Golf Course 12501 N. Boone Road, Columbia Station, Ohio 44028. We had a successful event with 124 golfers in attendance and even more supporters who came to join us just for dinner! 		Awareness  The Michael G. Belz Foundation participated in several different Awareness Events this year! MGBF hosted a table at the Mentor Mall for Nonprofit Day. At the Race for the Place MGBF had an awareness table with literature about brain cancer and our foundation. Volunteers dressed as witches and the theme was "Witching H.O.P.E." at the Broadview Heights Rec Center Trick-or-Treat. Our hopeful witches passed out goodies and awareness information to visitors. We also participated in St. Mary's Vendor Knights. The Michael G. Belz Foundation also launched online awareness campaigns. During the month of May (for brain cancer awareness month) facts-a-day were posted to MGBF's Facebook page and Facebook Fans were asked to turned their profile pic to gray. In collaboration wih IBTA we created an awareness video (see below). During 2012 we "hope" to continue to reach out and educate even more people!
		International Brain Tumor Awareness Week Video by MGBFThe Michael G. Belz Foundation, along with other brain tumor organizations, once again joined forces with The International Brain Tumor Alliance and planned awareness events to help educate the world about brain tumors during 2011's International Brain Tumor Awareness Week. The MGBF  asked supporters to wear gray during the week to help raise awareness and to spread H.O.P.E. and created a video for the world to see that gray matters!
